Undersökning av koncept, tillgängliga modeller och metoder användbara för prediktering, uppföljning och förbättring av fartygs energieffektivitet
Research Project, 2014
– 2015
There is a selection of methods and models for the prediction and monitoring of energy utilization in ships. Unfortunately, there is no single model/method that can be applied to a general vessel in order to increase its energy efficiency. In addition, the reliability of the results from several of the commercial systems can in many cases be either questioned. This project presents a state-of-the-art analysis of the utilization and research area ship energy efficiency with a focus on models and methods for energy systems modeling (prediction, monitoring and improvements), with focus on the green ship energy concept of wind propulsion utilization and ship routing optimization. The goal is to develop a basis for a long-term research project in which we want to develop a generic system model designed to work with ship energy efficiency from a holistic perspective, where the wind and ship routing optimization as potentially green concept is a realistic and cost-effective alternative.
