VINC- Virtual Integrated Compressor Demonstrator
Research Project, 2014
– 2016
Objective and Goal: In order to develop improvements in aeroengines an understanding of the development chain as a whole is needed. A croadly formulated virtual platform is a good way of gaining insights in adjacent research areas, that may need acces to boundary conditions to define relevant studies. An evaluation of detailed solutions as well as of integration of system properties become possible. Results and Expected Effects: For ean engine configuration concepts for integrating a fram for a compressor frame where engine system considerations are taken into account. For the configurations chosen results describing relations between functional margins, efficinecy and weight are are derived, to enable the technology trade that must be done duting the compressor lay out.
