Process flow simulation for textile care in HSB Living Lab
Research Project, 2015
– 2016
Since we will be living more compact in the future and most likely sharing specific functions of a building with each other, the focus of the project is on social sustainability connected to the laundry room. In the format of explorative research, a the laundry studio is developed, considered as the centerpiece of the communal areas of the rental aoartment building. The project investigates how such a laundry studio that is lifted out of the basement and into the entrance of the house can serve as a social space intended for meetings and socializing while the residents do their laundry. (HSB Living Lab is a collaboration between research, business and society. The research in the lab contributes with solutions for sustainable living and improved quality of life for the residents. What makes HSB Living Lab unique is that research innovations are tested in a real-world environment with the residents, around the clock.)
