BIOMASS level 2 implementation study
Research Project, 2017
– 2020
The project has two main objectives:
Develop the algorithms for the Biomass Interferometric Mission Phase and implement the respective prototype processor that allows to produce following products: Level-2 maps of forest biomass in tons per hectare at 200 m resolution, maps of forest height in meters at 200 m resolution, maps of forest disturbances showing disturbed/undisturbed areas at 50 m resolution.
Develop the algorithms for the Biomass Tomographic
Mission Phase and implement the respective prototype processor that allows to produce the following products: Tomographic data cubes, level-2 maps of forest biomass in tons per hectare at 200 m resolution, maps of forest height in meters at 200 m resolution.
