Högtemperaturkorrosion och mekaniska egenskaper hos oxidskikt bildade vid förbränning av biomassa ett in-situ angrepssätt på nanonivå.
Research Project, 2018 – 2021

The project addresses corrosion problems associated with the use of biofuels in CHP plants. The objectives are aimed at understanding the mechanisms of chemical attack and mechanical degradation of protective oxide layers, as well as developing solutions involving the design of the microstructure of the base material, and investigating how the amount of water vapor in the corrosion environment can be optimized to obtain a good adhesion of the oxide layer. This increases the potential for increasing the efficiency of CHP plants.
