Ship motion in waves
Research Project, 2014
The project concerns further development of an in-house fully nonlinear unsteady method for analysis of resistance and ship motions in waves.
The research is relevant for wave resistance, interaction between sea and ship in terms of wave loads and ship motions, and energy efficiency as well as input for fatigue and ultimate stress analysis. The impact of speed reduction can be studied. This is important for both energy efficiency (Eco-driving) and for the structural loads.
