Combustion and gas cleaning
Research Project, 2019 –

The WP “Combustion and Gas Cleaning” works towards efficient and clean industrial combustion processes. The research activities during Year 2019 will focus on combustion fundamentals of especial importance to industrial heat treatment in rotary kilns and on a newly developed concept for efficient and simultaneous control of NOx and SOx. The work is required to increase fuel flexibility and emission reductions in industries like iron and steel, cement, and recycling. The work is supported by the concerned industries and by an exchange with the recognized research groups in Utah, USA. The AoA funding will allow the research group to coordinate activities and expand the reach to more areas within and outside Chalmers (like maritime transport and HTC). The persons involved includes Prof. Klas Andersson, Assoc. Prof. Fredrik Normann, Dr. Thomas Ekvall and a new post-doc. The AoA funding will especially finance the post doc positions.
