Scalable LCA models of electric drivetrain components
Research Project, 2019
–
The overarching aim of the project is to provide knowledge for material resource strategies for vehicle transport. More specific goals are scalable building blocks for LCA of electric drivetrains, allowing for LCA-modelling on drivetrain system level, to support technology development for resource efficiency exploration of potential future material trends in vehicles, through use of a stock-and-flow model of material content in vehicle fleets. The results are interesting in themselves, to underpin material resource strategies for vehicles, and are useful for constructing end-of-life scenarios for LCA modelling.
