Navigating sustainable regional energy system transitions

This research project will further develop a methodology for transdisciplinary co-production. Empirical data will be gathered from cases for a meta-analysis of their respective back casting-lab approaches. Region West Sweden and Region Gävleborg are both initiating multi-stakeholder processes to explore opportunities for sustainable industry and energy transitions. Both regions will apply a back casting methodology previously developed by the researchers in this project) in societal lab spaces to navigate sustainable energy transitions in practice.
