In the planning of the multifunctional city, today's trend is to work with three-dimensional property design to accommodate multiple owners and features in the same building. In theory, we can build positive energy blocks where the same quarter shares energy flow, but in reality, this is undeveloped in both technology, policy and business models. We will, in close triple-helix interactions, increase knowledge driven business opportunities and close links between research and practice by bringing together researchers with community and implementers in three different urban development projects.
