Development of two hydrochemical pilot scale processes
Research Project, 2012 – 2014

Goals/targets
We will develop a universal test bed for hydrochemical processes aimed at mainly recovery of metals from different waste streams. As the project evolves and other companies with their special needs will join some time may also be allocated to developing economical and environmentally sustainable processes for new materials. The basis will be semi industrial scale leaching followed by solvent extraction separation using mixer settlers. Chemical systems for two selected processes will be used as demonstrators: recovery of metals from NiMH batteries and indium from flat TV screens.
