Cleantech in an energy systems perspective (CLEANS)
Research Project , 2015 – 2017

In this project, the national energy system and national climate policy are to be considered in an international context by examining how domestic markets can foster green growth with a focus on export of energy technologies to emerging developing economies. The project therefore combines research in two different areas: national energy systems analysis and national climate policy, and studies of technology transfer; partly related to the clean development mechanism (CDM). The key issue is how conditions for green technologies in demand specifically in developing countries can benefit from specific national energy systems developments, and the project will investigate domestic energy system and market conditions for one specific technology: biogas. Focus to one country is necessary for the project, and in the project India has been selected as an appropriate country to focus on.
