Cancellation of SPM in Self-Homodyne Coherent Systems

The signal and local oscillator acquire identical nonlinear phase shifts during propagation in a selfhomodyne coherent system. We exploit this to achieve cancellation of the phase distortion caused by self-phase modulation.
