Describing Human-Automation Interaction in production
Paper in proceeding, 2012

There is a need to further develop measureable methods and models in the ‘Human- Automation Interaction’ area. In order to describe HAI in production three sub-categories were found using Grounded Theory: Levels of Automation (LoA), Trust/Reliability and Automation use. It was suggested that LoA could be used to divide interaction into smaller parts and that Trust and reliability and Automation use should incorporate the individual and experienced perspective. The concepts can be used to describe HAI in a more detailed way in order to understand why problems in interaction occur.
