Impactor Testing of a Renault Mégane II for validation of a finite element vehicle model for full-scale pedestrian impact simulations
Report, 2015

Two series of impactor experiments were conducted with the aim of producing experimental data for validation of a finite element model of a Renault Mégane in view of pedestrian-to-vehicle crash simulations. The focus of these test series was the investigation of the impact responses of the bumper, soft nose and bonnet area when impacted by objects similar to a human lower and upper leg and a human torso.
