Swedish comparative study of three principally different surgery room ventilation systems by experimental measurements and CFD calculation
Paper in proceeding, 2016

According to the Swedish technical specification SIS-TS 39, both unidirectional parallel airflow (UDF) and turbulent mixing airflow (TAM) can be used in ventilation systems to supply operating rooms intended for infection-prone surgery. A comparative study was performed by the planning organization of a new surgery department at Karolinska University Hospital, Huddinge, Sweden, in order to assist the selection of ventilation system for the operating rooms. The comparative study included three principally different designs available on the market and was performed with as well Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) as with mock-up operations.
