The different backgrounds of the architectural master students in relation to the specific character of the sustainable building issue, call for special pedagogical approach to achieve learning objectives. A pedagogy that supports active learning based on: group work, visualisation, and the case method - all embedded in the constructive alignment framework - has been proposed and implemented.
