Incorporating active learning techniques to improve communication and learning outcome for students of architecture

The different backgrounds of the architectural master students in relation to the specific character of the sustainable building issue, call for special pedagogical approach to achieve learning objectives. A pedagogy that supports active learning based on: group work, visualisation, and the case method - all embedded in the constructive alignment framework - has been proposed and implemented.
