The authors have in this article manuscript (preprint not yet completed due to the retirement of one of the authors) deals with a conversion back to assembly line work. Before was an early sort of, less sociotechnically advanced, parallel workgroups practised. The article (or book chapter) is actually a more popular description that never was published, while the consumer reports were actually aimed at the company in question.

However, this article manuscript was financed by a research foundation (but based an initiative by the Swedish Metall Workers Union, Metall). The wage owner consultant initiative was a matter of combined data collection (collections of company data, interviews, questionnaire surveys, video-registration, etc. among other this thereby prospection many of our scientific methods developed during several decades. For example, involving two so-called total surveys of all blue-collar employees dealing with assembly work. The authors and their other colleagues were thus, in many respects, using a wide repertoire of scientific methods.
