Knowledge sharing through increased user participation on a corporate intranet
Paper in proceeding, 2005

The web was intended to be a collaborative environment where users could exchange ideas but has turned into a read-only environment. The same is true for corporate intranets. Since successful knowledge management relies on participation from all organisational members, it would be useful if employees were not only intranet information consumers but also providers. By installing a wiki in a corporate intranet, we show that making it easy to publish can have a positive effect on the intranets potential as a knowledge management tool.
