Experimental Study of a Low-profile Wideband Antenna Array Unit Cell with Integrated EBG Structure
Paper in proceeding, 2019

The present paper considers the essential peculiarities of simulation and experimental procedures for a performance study of the C-band low-profile antenna array unit cell. Finite array domain decomposition analysis approach employed for numerical analysis. The good agreement was found between simulated S-parameters for the 6-rings model and measured results of the 3-rings test fragment in frequency and space domains. Simulation results validated the 3-rings fragment as a sufficiently large to provide a reliable assessment of the active reflection coefficient magnitude in the required frequency range and beam steering angular sector.
