Since 2019, Artem Vilenskiy is a researcher in the Antenna Systems group. He concentrates on the development of the active integrated array antenna concept, above-100 GHz steerable antenna and mm-wave circuits solutions for beyond-5G systems, and collaboration with Chalmers industrial partners.
Dr. Vilenskiy received MSc Degree (Specialist) in electrical engineering from the Department of Radio-Electronic Systems and Devices at Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU) in 2011. In 2014, he received PhD Degree (Eng.) in the field of “Antennas, Microwave Devices and Its Technology” from BMSTU. During his PhD years, he had a major research focus on wideband and ultrawideband antennas and arrays and their time-domain analysis. In 2008, he joined the "Antenna engineering" Lab of BMSTU based Research Institute of "Radioelectronics Engineering", where he had been working till 2015 as an engineer, senior engineer, and senior researcher. He was involved in several R&D projects related to phased antenna arrays and microwave circuits for radar and communication systems. In 2011, he also joined Samsung Research Institute Russia where he had a research engineer, expert engineer, and project leader roles during the 2011–2019 period. Here he participated in various scientific and engineering projects in the field of mobile communication systems, automotive radar, robotics, and long-distance wireless power transfer. Between 2015 and 2019 year, he had an Associate Professor position (part-time) in BMSTU where he became the coordinator of the MSc course "Applied electrodynamics of composite media" and a scientific project leader dealing with the development of a computational package for multilayer structures analysis.
Dr. Vilenskiy has authored and co-authored 15 peer-reviewed journal papers, 24 conference publications, and 18 international patents.
