Comments on “Application of Double Negative Materials to Increase the Power Radiated by Electrically Small Antennas”

The results of the commented paper are of no value for evaluating the performance of small antennas surrounded by double negative material. The characterizing parameter “radiated power gain” is misleading and turns out to be a relative input resistance rather than a gain.
