This chapter presents a brief overview of CO2 capture technologies and an update of their current readiness level. Without aiming to provide an in-depth description of all the developments in this area, the principal systems are described in this chapter. The chemical absorption as a post-combustion arrangement is further discussed, including advanced process configurations and its integration in the power plant and electricity grid.
