Determination of ventilation rates by CO2 monitoring: assessment of inaccuracies.
Paper in proceeding, 1998

The present paper presents an analy sis of the inaccuracy of ventilation rates de termined by monitoring of person-generated C02 in indoor air. The analysis includes consideration of the inaccuracy associated with the C02 concentration measurement and the uncertainty of the estimated C02 generation by humans. In addition to the traditional method of steady-state measure ments, a met4od based on monitoring of the decay of person-generated C02 has been investigated. The study is carried out on a theoretical basis by analysis of the equations describing the ventilation process.
