Data correlation and analytics of cone crusher responses
Other conference contribution, 2025

Cone crushers utilize form-conditioned breakage mode in the size reduction of ores where its performance and responses are heavily dependent on the ore properties, bulk dynamics, crusher geometry and its kinematics. Most crushers have an integrated monitoring system focused on protecting the crushers by evaluating the change in pressure and power. The purpose of this paper is to explore potential signal correlation of alternative instrumentation, such as acoustics measurements, high-frequency monitoring of the pressure and vision systems and implement appropriate analytics to explore potential improvments the crusher’s operational performance and longevity.
