On the Role of Material Dissipation for the Crack-Driving Force
Other conference contribution, 2007

The crack-driving force may be defined in the context of a material force, which is the measure of the energy release rate due to a virtual extension of the crack tip. In this contribution the global energy dissipation due to crack extension in inelastic media is considered in establishing the pertinent material force.
