Analysis of heartbeat data with spectral and fractal techniques
Journal article, 2005

ECG signals from mice, and simultaneous ECG and blood pressure signals from rats are analysed for a small number of cases. The data were obtained from four mice and two rats with one animal having health problem in each group, the rest being control cases. For the rats, the phase of the cross-spectra between the ECG and blood pressure, and for the mice the fractal properties of the interbeat series (RR-interval fluctuations) found to be suitable as an indicator of health anomaly.
