Robust calculation of simultaneous multichannel blocked force signatures from measurements made in-situ using an adaptive algorithm in time domain
Paper in proceeding, 2013

An adaptive time domain algorithm is derived being capable of recursively reconstructing simultaneous multi-channel force signatures for structures with multi degree of freedom excitation, given the structure's impulse response functions and operational response time histories. It is shown that the method facilitates robust calculation of time domain blocked forces from measurements made in-situ, i.e. when the source is connected to a receiver structure. Thus, independent source characterization for fully assembled structures comprising multiple vibration sources is possible. Numerical and experimental examples for a complex automotive component are used to investigate the influence of noise on the estimation accuracy.
