Evidence of non-local heat transport in JET plasmas
Paper in proceeding, 2018

The heat transport in a selected database of the JET ILW plasmas is analysed where a significant departure from the diffusive model is found. The findings show that the nature of the heat transport in these plasmas is non-local (super-diffusive), and a novel approach is proposed for defining the level of the non-locality (superdiffusivity) of the heat flux, and the corresponding transport coefficient. The new model is expected to improve the accuracy of simplified models used in transport studies of fusion plasmas.
