Ancillary service provision method for industrial involvement
Paper in proceeding, 2020

The energy transition leads to new requirements on the power system and new challenges to maintain security of supply and operational security. Ancillary services take on an important role to overcome these challenges. The technical and economic potential for industries to provide ancillary services is well established but there are beside the technical and financial barriers also regulatory and knowledge barriers which prevent industries from participating in the market. The objective of this paper is the introduction of the Ancillary Service Provision Method which will help to overcome barriers for industries to provide ancillary services. The presented tool is mainly targeting the industry but can also be used by the system operators to do active search for potential service providers.
