a thimble produced similar outcomes to the standard nozzle. The orifces when sealed, modify the fow distribution within the sac volume, which consequently afects the spray characteristics. In summary, this research provides insights into the impacts of various plume isolation methods on spray morphology, thereby enhancing the understanding of spray behaviour in transient conditions by comparing plume variations and disturbances under various fuel pressure and ambient conditions.
