GreenTurn Enabling stakeholder-centric zero emission e-commerce delivery and return practices through transparent and collaborative supply chains
Forskningsprojekt, 2024 – 2027

Europeans lack information regarding the environmental impact of online shopping deliveries and returns. Calculating emissions throughout the e-commerce supply chain is intricate, and public authorities have limited influence on promoting greener practices. In this context, the EU-funded GreenTurn project aims to address this gap by developing zero-emission logistics solutions for e-commerce. With participation from 14 partners across seven countries, the project uses design thinking to integrate behavioural interventions with sustainable delivery and return options. GreenTurn will implement five pilots involving significant and diverse companies, with the goal of raising awareness among over 30 million e commerce consumers in Austria, France, Greece, Poland, and Spain. Furthermore, the project plans to collaborate with public authorities to translate its findings into policies for long-term impact.
