Automated Data-driven Decision-making Supporting Autonomous Transport (ADDSAT)
Forskningsprojekt, 2025 – 2026

A transition to autonomous truck transport is anticipated alongside rising automation in production and warehousing. Without people to convey information and make decisions, these processes would need to be managed automatically. Knowledge is currently lacking regarding how decision-making can be automated and regarding which data should be used as input to the decisions. The project will therefore provide answers to the following two research questions:

•#1 Which are the decisions that need to be made in an autonomous truck transport setup to enable smooth and reliable pick-ups and drop offs?
•#2 Which data are required to support automated data-driven decisions that enable smooth and reliable pick-ups and drop offs in an autonomous truck transport setup?
Additionally, the project will give insights into technologies can be used, and these are planned to receive further attention in future project, building on this one.
