Smart Holistic Innovative Future Transport (SHIFT)
Forskningsprojekt, 2014

Pre-study and needs identification with a cross-European team for a Horizon 2020 call on transforming the use of conventionally fuelled vehicles in urban areas. The application aims to develop a theoretical and empirical understanding of soft and regulatory mechanisms and most importantly of their combinations and synergies, through the use of specific city-based scenarios that are representative examples of Europe’s most common urban environments. More specifically, SHIFT intents to generate knowledge about how a variety of transport interventions, which could be based on technologically driven innovation in general and ICT innovation in particular, will influence attitudes, social norms and potentially travel behaviours, when applied in four different types of cities as add-on mechanisms to their existing transport measure packages.
