RFID deployment patterns: a case study of five railroad applications of RFID

We report from a case study of five organisations having started to use RFID technology. Using a 3x3 framework we plot the trajectory of their projects and discuss their current state and progress. Our conclusion is that no organisation has yet been able to transformate their operations and we suggest that a willingness to re-think must accompany introduction of RFID for organisations to really unlock the potential of the technology.
