Multi-objective Optimization of Oven Curing in Automotive Paint Shops
Paper i proceeding, 2011

Seventy percent of the total energy required to produce a car is consumed in the paint shop. With the lack of reliable and e^Ncient simulation tools for the paint shop processes the current practise for validation is based on individual experience and physical measurements. There is therefore great need for new virtual tools for veri^Lcation of the paint and surface treatment processes and to optimize them to be more environmentally friendly, energy and cost e^Ncient, and to give a higher product quality. In this paper we discuss the possibility to apply multiple criteria decision making to optimize the paint shop ovens.
