An Experimental Study of Heat Transfer between Impinging Single Diesel Droplets and a Metal Wall using a Surface Mounted Height Adjustable Rapid Thermocouple
Övrigt konferensbidrag, 2011

In previous studies of impinging sprays using different diesel fuels differences in the measured temperature have been observed when scanning through the spray, perpendicular to the spray axis. One reason for this behaviour could be how the thermocouple is mounted in the wall, sticking out or forming a small cavity. This work presents a study of the temperature response when a single droplet impinges on a metal wall where a height adjustable rapid thermocouple is mounted in the surface. The influence of the positioning of the thermocouple on the temperature history is analyzed and compared for three different liquids under different conditions.
