Development and validation of a multicomponent fuel spray model (VSB2 Model)

This work presents the VSB2 (VSB2 stochastic blob and bubble) spray model for multicomponent fuels. A direct numerical method is developed to calculate evaporation of multicomponent fuels. The spray model is implemented in OpenFoam CFD code and the predictions are compared with outcome of experiments performed in constant volume combustion vessel.
