Knowledge Management Systems
Kapitel i bok, 2009

Knowledge Management Systems (KMS) are loosely understood as a type of information technology (IT) to support organisational knowledge management (KM) work. The challenge here is to understand first what KM is and then figure out how it can be supported by IT. This entry first provides a review of KM work and the critique it received. Then KMS are defined and analysed through various well-used theoretical frameworks. The major challenges KMS are facing today are discussed and the entry ends with some hints on what may lie ahead.
