Nikhil Sharma

Post doc at Chalmers, Mechanics and Maritime Sciences, Combustion, Förbränningsmotorer och framdrivningssystem

Dr. Nikhil Sharma, is currently a Post-Doctoral fellow at Combustion and Propulsion Systems, Department of Mechanics and Maritime Sciences, Chalmers University, Sweden. Prior to joining at Chalmers, he was a Post-Doctoral at Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, India. He received his PhD degree from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Kanpur in 2017. During his Ph.D., he worked on “Spray, combustion, emissions and particulate investigations of a gasohol fueled gasoline direct injection engine”. At Chalmers, he will strategically pursue the research on PM formation and transformation from IC engine. The scope of the project will include both CI and SI engines, both traditional (fossil based) and renewable fuels, both engine out measurements and EATS measurements. The project is partly financed by Energimyndigheten. In addition to this, he will also contribute to different projects at the division
