Björn Lönn

Doctoral Student at Chemical Physics

My project is based around how platinum-RE alloy nanoparticles could improve the catalytic performance in fuel cells. I will use sputtering and laser ablation techniques to manufacture such catalyst nanoparticles, which will subsequently be characterized by TEM, SAXS and RDE experiments. The goal is to reduce the amount of platinum needed in fuel cells, which in turn would allow for the technology to become more commercially attractive.
