Daniella Troje
Daniella Troje is a Senior Lecturer at the Division of Construction Management & Engineering. She has a background in business administration and earned her PhD in the autumn of 2020 at the Department of Technology Management and Economics. Following her dissertation, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at KTH, in the Division of Construction and Facilities Management. Daniella’s research focuses on organizational issues in the construction and real estate sector. She studies how change management and value creation can foster social and environmental sustainability in areas such as procurement, construction projects, and facilities management. A recurring theme in her work is the institutional perspective, which she uses to analyze both individual and collective work practices. Her previous research projects have covered topics including social procurement requirements and employment measures in construction and facilities projects, sustainable facilities management, and the procurement of reused materials in construction. In her teaching, Daniella addresses value creation and organizational issues in the construction and real estate sector, often with an emphasis on sustainability challenges. Since the spring of 2024, Daniella has served as the Head of Programme for the Bachelor’s program in Business Development and Entrepreneurship in Civil Engineering.
