Emil Raaholt Ingelsten
I am currently doing my PhD in plasma physics at the Division of Subatomic, High Energy and Plasma Physics, part of the Department of Physics. More specifically, my work is related to the development of new so-called closures for fluid models of plasmas, with applications including e.g. the modelling of magnetic reconnection. Apart from my research in plasma physics, I am interested in most things related to mathematics and physics, but at the moment I am particularly interested in quantum optics and quantum computing, as well as particle physics and applications of abstract algebra like Clifford algebra to physics. As a PhD student I am also involved in teaching in various courses held by the department, among others the environmental physics course which is part of the Engineering Physics program.
