Amrita Hazarika

Doctoral Student at Building Technology

Amrita is a doctoral researcher in the building materials research group. Her research is based on experimentally examining sustainable cementitious alternatives to cement. More specifically, her focus lies on investigating the durability of calcined clays and bio-ashes for potential future industrial applications, and as replacements for clinkers. The goal is to contribute towards a low-carbon built environment, by reducing dependence on ordinary Portland cement (OPC) in the construction sector. Additionally, Amrita is enthusiastic about teaching and supervising roles for bachelor and master theses students in the arenas of sustainable cementitious materials and concrete technology.
