Jennifer Ekholm

Doctoral Student at Water Environment Technology

Jennifer Ekholm is a doctoral student in the Division of Water Environment Technology, research theme Process techniques for wastewater treatment, at Chalmers University of Technology.

Her research addresses biological wastewater treatment, with the technology called aerobic granular sludge (AGS). It is an innovative, compact and energy efficient wastewater treatment process. The aim of the project is to give scientific documentation for application of AGS in Sweden, and to gain knowledge of granulation and aerobic granules at low temperatures. The results are relevant in a future of more stringent wastewater discharge limits, increasing population and centralization.
