Johan Bondesson is a PhD-student at the research school of Solid- and Structural Mechanics, division of Dynamics at the department of Mechanics and Maritime sciences. His research is on biomechanics focusing on dynamic description of stent grafts, vessels, and their interaction. The aim is to, through modeling, give clinicians better insight into diseased vessel behavior and give device companies better boundary conditions for design and testing of stent grafts. The research is carried out in collaboration with the Vascular Interventions and Biomechanics Engineering laboratory at Stanford Medicine.
