Qais Khraisat

Doctoral Student at Marine Technology

With a background in Computational Fluid Dynamics, Qais Khraisat’s research area focuses on developing CFD modelling techniques to accurately predict underwater radiated noise (URN) from ships. The objective of this research effort is providing naval architects with the tools to support them in optimizing designs with the intention of reducing the generated noise. The overall benefits include preserving marine life and protecting the wellbeing of on-board crew and passengers. This research project is carried out under the supervision of prof. Rickard Bensow.
