Shuai Li
Shuai Li is a postdoctoral researcher at the Division of Fluid Dynamics in the Department of Mechanics and Maritime Sciences. His research interests are aerodynamics, aeroacoustics, and noise control. Since August 2024, he has been working on a project focusing on the optimization of turbomachinery flows, contributing to the achievement of climate-neutral aviation by 2050. From 2021 to 2024, he worked on a project addressing aircraft noise reduction with a focus on noise mitigation of landing gears (LGs) and high-lift devices (HLDs) by means of innovative designs and noise-control technologies. The goals of the project are to better understand the noise generated by LGs and HLDs and to decrease the external noise from business jets and transport aircrafts, contributing to the achievement of the Flightpath 2050 goals established by the European Commission, i.e. reduction of noise from flying aircrafts by 65%.
