Visiting Researcher at Material and Computational Mechanics

Shanghong Duan is a PhD student in the area of structural battery composite.

The basic idea is developing of a carbon fiber reinforcement polymer composite, which simultaneously responsible for mechanical loading and energy storage. His specific working area is the analysis of the carbon fiber with high resolution microscopy.

This research area has already attracted much attention from the aeronautic and automotive industry. The novel idea itself proposes a better future for us, electric vehicle and a more environmentally friendly world.
