Ting Yang Nilsson

Researcher at Applied Chemistry

Ting received her doctorate in polymer technology, fiber and polymer technology at KTH, Stockholm, in 2012. Her postdoctoral research at IFM, Linköping University, focused on organic electronics based on cellulose and lignin, as well as non-metallic conductive materials. She has been an assistant professor at Linköping University and principal researcher in the printed electronics group at the Laboratory for Organic Electronics, Norrköping Campus, Linköping University.

She was a senior researcher at RISE Research Institutes of Sweden AB from 2016 to 2024, where she worked as a project manager and expert in solution blown fiber spinning for various cellulose-based materials for wound care and hygiene applications, in both lab scale and pilot scale. She has also played a key role in the industrial development of graphene coating applications in electronics and bio-based fiber composites for large-scale 3D printing.

Ting is currently working as a researcher at Chalmers to further develop environmentally friendly technology for a more sustainable society. Her research focuses on graphene-based coatings for the recovery of bio-based fibers from waste streams, and on process-efficient chemistry for industrially scalable circular biorenewable polymers and composites.
